2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the website, the web server automatically processes connection data in log files: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page or file, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser and operating system information (user agent).

This processing serves the secure and stable operation of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The log files are managed by the hosting provider; the retention period follows its policies. Further information can be found in STRATO GmbH's privacy policy.

3. No cookies, no tracking, no third-party content

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking services. Fonts, scripts and images are loaded exclusively from this server; no content is loaded from third-party servers.

4. Local storage of the theme setting

If you switch between light and dark design using the button in the header, your browser stores this choice locally on your device (Local Storage, entry "th-theme"). The information is not transmitted to the server. Storage only happens when you take this action and is necessary to keep your choice on later visits (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete the entry at any time in your browser settings.

5. Contact by email

If you write to me by email, I process your sender details and the content of your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; for contract-related requests Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). I delete the data once the request has been dealt with and no retention obligations apply. My mailbox is operated by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA in this context; the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. Links to external websites

This website links to external services, e.g. LinkedIn, GitHub and Google Scholar. No plug-ins or buttons are embedded that transmit data to these providers when you open this website. Only when you click a link do you leave this website; from then on the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Please contact me at the email address above.
